DOs & DON'Ts

We Safely Dispose of Expired and Unusable Medicines

Improper disposal of medicines can lead to serious negative consequences for both human health and the environment.

Medicines that end up in landfills, drains, or other water bodies pose significant risks to public health and the broader ecosystem.

The presence of pharmaceutical substances in the natural environment negatively affects animals, fish, and humans, as these substances can enter the food chain through contaminated water and disrupt the normal functioning of various species.

That’s why we return expired and unusable medicines to pharmacies free of charge and dispose of them in MediCycle’s designated bins.
